Roaming furniture / Beacon
Furniture design and signage
In the case of a partnership between UNESCO and a regional natural park in the Aubrac region, we have developed roaming furniture in stone and wood. It look as standard elements, which start from graphic system and the addition or not of metal support elements enable a wide variety of proposals.
The element in stone serves as a beacon and graphic sign in the natural environment. It allows a first interaction with the user, distant, and giving it a first level of reading which is essential: orientation. Then, if the user gets closer, he can use and interact with the furniture according to his needs. Does he need rest ? Does he want to eat ? Closer, the wooden element is visible: it is a support for more precise information on the hiking route, history of the region, plants and other information that doesn’t come under immediate needs.
