We made this while the world is burning
What becomes the spirit of Vivienne Westwood after her passing? A radical spirit creates an alternative museum entity dedicated to criticizing, challenging and politicizing the contemporary art world.
A Tale of Pearls
“What I am doing now, it still is Punk— it is it is still about shouting about injustice and making people think, even if it’s uncomfortable. I’ll always be a punk in that sense.” —Vivienne Westwood
Born of irritation and luster, Pearls traditionally symbolize elegance, power and tradition. However, we find them charged with references of contestation and individual expression. This new tale reinterprets pearls, infusing them with the raw energy of rebellion. The encounter of ancient tradition and punk provocation creates a unique space where politics and aesthetics coalesce, challenging established norms and celebrating the dynamic interplay between the classic and the radical, the past and the future.
I disagree with everything I used to say
Using 70s letter transfer techniques, collage and disorganized organization as my inspiration, I take quotes from Vivienne Westwood and combine them in the form of a tryptic, where eras, ideas and values mingle.
Girl Dinner
The theme of the 3rd edition of Le Trombone fanzine being “la hess” (which can be translated as misery), I'm interested in a certain glorification of misery, poverty or even eating disorders. Inspired by traditional vanitas, I set up a “girl dinner”.
Echoes from a Perpetual Stew
We designed and edited this book collection of texts from our class: the Critical Inquiry Lab. Like a perpetual stew, we imagined the editorial texts as several voices that intertwine in the layout. The index classifies the texts based on entry words like the various ingredients that compose our graduate program.
